This business is thriving and as a result they have an opportunity for a Junior Category Manager to join the UK commercial team.
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager the Junior Category Manager will have two top 4 grocery customers with the focus of the role being around delivering a best in class category development service to increase sales and achieve customer business targets. You will turn deep market insights into actionable recommendations, developing 3-year category plans with a focus on range optimisation, NPD, Digital shelf, Distribution and Merchandising. Working closely with the design agency you will bring your NPD and promotional plans to life for the retailer, supporting with best in class packaging and shopper marketing recommendations.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years category management experience and will be managing at least one customer. While private label experience isn’t essential, experience of briefing and managing NPD projects would be beneficial. Experience of using Kantar and IRI or Nielsen is essential.
