Job description

You will be responsible for leading the night shift Engineers, ensuring all PPM work is completed, liaising with 24-7 suppliers and minimising Engineering downtime with breakdown response.

The Main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

* Management of shift handover accuracy and follow up.

* Strengthening our safety culture through active challenge and pre-task review adherence.

* Spare part management ensuring correct items are ordered and stocked (Critical spares).

* Influencing GMP with exemplary attitude to food safety.

* Encourage smart working cultures through careful planning.

* Input to site meetings sometimes organised outside the night shift pattern.

* Engineering team, time keeping including control of overtime.

* Reactive breakdown response.

* Contractor Control.

* Improvement project involvement with safety, efficiency and energy saving at the forefront.

* Workshop organisation and housekeeping

* Auditing participation and action completion.

* Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard.

* Ensure good working relationship between Engineering and production.

* Implement a training program to develop engineers and Tech Ops to assist in their training.

* Drive PPM completion results with comprehensive reviews of individual instructions.

For your application to be considered you must be able to demonstrate the experience in engineering through a structured and practical engineering training (e.g. apprenticeship/ HNC/ Degree)
