Job description

We are seeking a new colleague to join our Quality Assurance and Enhancement team, to manage all aspects of quality assurance and regulatory compliance work relating to our apprenticeship provision, overseeing all activity for ensuring institutional compliance with Ofsted and ESFA expectations.
You will support the development and embedding of good practice across the totality of the university's apprenticeships offer, in support of the university apprenticeship strategy and the university's Strategic Plan, Vision 2028.
You will provide advice, guidance and support to both academic and professional services staff in relation to development of high-quality apprenticeship provision, ensuring that university policies and processes underpin this and enable our client to meet regulatory expectations.
You will be a graduate with experience of working on apprenticeships delivery or within a FE and/or HE setting. Prior knowledge and experience of Ofsted and ESFA monitoring and audit is key to this role. You will be conversant with government strategies in the FE and HE sector related to apprenticeship provision.
Excellent communication skills with staff at all levels are essential, as well as the ability to work with students and their representative groups. You will represent the team on committees and working groups and manage projects in specific areas of responsibility concerning quality and related areas. Experience of analysing complex information to assess risks, and writing reports, including developing recommendations for action, is essential. You will be confident in organising complex events, involving internal and external stakeholders.
You will have line management responsibilities within the QAE team and may be responsible for supporting the validation and review of in-house and collaborative programmes both in the UK and overseas.
Our client is a vibrant and diverse university located in Stratford and Docklands. We are developing and implementing a new strategy, Vision 2028, to transform our curriculum and partnerships to make a positive difference to student, graduate and community success. Our goal is to become the leading careers-focused, enterprising university in the UK, one which both prepares our students for the jobs of the future and provides the innovation to drive that future sustainably and inclusively.
A successful external candidate for this position would be employed by our client's Professional Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of our client. Employees of our client's Professional Services Ltd work alongside our client's colleagues in delivery of their mission, and the client's Professional Services Ltd will adopt our client's HR policies and procedures in full.
