The Firm: This firm has an outstanding Costs team and are looking to recruit a Trainee Costs Draftsman for their office based in Southport The firm specialises in Commercial Litigation, Clinical Negligence, Personal Injury, EL, PL, Industrial and many more areas.
The Role: The opportunity is to kick start your career in the Legal/Law Sector in the world of Law Costs. This role will give you the training, development and career path into a Costs Professional. You can expect to become experienced in the following: Drafting bills of Costs, Cost Budgets, Points of replies, Costs Estimates, Negotiations, Settlements and attending detailed assessments.
Requirements: The successful candidate ideally will be newly or recently graduated in Law and potentially will have 1-2 years' experience within the Legal field in a paralegal/litigation position. Ideally you would have Costs experience or have the knowledge around Law Costs. You will need to have an analytic approach and be good with excel and spreadsheets. You previously have litigation or Law Costs experience or have the knowledge around Law Costs.
Salary & Benefits: The salary on offer would be up to £28,000 dependant on experience. You will have the opportunity to progress your career through the firm and gain qualifications further down the line such as the ACL and CILEx qualifications. You will have exposure to high value costs cases.
