Systems Engineer
Location: Denham, South Buckinghamshire
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000
An organisation specialising in the manufacture and design of complex ejection seats within the aerospace and defence industry are seeking a Systems Engineer to be responsible for maintaining system requirements, conducting in-depth analyses and supporting system verification.
At all product life-cycle stages the role is expected to report on the work carried out through a variety of mediums including documentation, IPT meetings and presentations to all levels of the business.
Responsibilities - Systems Engineer
Learn the methods and skills required in Systems Engineering Department to fulfil the role of Systems Engineer.
Conduct requirements analyses as directed and generate specifications accordingly.
Conduct feasibility and trade studies as directed, often in respect of potential new business.
Carry out physiological load assessments as directed.
Conduct simulations, analyses and test matching utilising appropriate software tools as directed.
Prepare a wide range of technical documents including internal, customer and contract defined deliverables.
Design and develop appropriate software including that of a safety critical standard.
Mentor and encourage Student Engineers within the department.
Communicate effectively with all levels within the organisation and its customers at all times.
Skills and Knowledge - Systems Engineer
2.1 / 1st degree qualified in an appropriate engineering or science based discipline.
Understanding of UML or SysML.
Understanding of software development.
Good problem solving investigative skills and data analysis skills.
Highly IT literate.
Good grounding in a broad range of multi- disciplinary engineering concepts.
Experience gained in aerospace similar systems engineering environment.
