ASD Tutor
We are a growing National Supplier of Tuition to Children and Young People in care and we are eager to add more excellent tutors to our roster.
We require experienced educators to tutor looked after young people, and those with SEND in the Coventry area. This tuition primarily covers the core subjects (English, Maths, and Science), from KS2 through to GCSE. Experience working with young people in care, children in need and/or those with SEND is essential.
Tuition will normally take place in the home of the young person, with the carer or parent present at all times, in the student's current provision, or at a neutral location such as a library. With current circumstances this may also have to take place remotely via an online teaching platform.
The number of hours varies from 1 - 15 hours per week, per student. There is also the possibility to take on multiple students per week, if desired.
Requirements:
• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• Minimum 2 year teaching experience
• Two professional references
• Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS)
Protocol Education assists Local Authorities in ensuring that young people who are not receiving the support they need from mainstream education, are catered for. In addition, we take the wellbeing and professional development of our tutors very seriously, as we understand that without great tutors, young people cannot receive the tuition they need.
It is a strict requirement that you have the ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
This position involves tutoring in a temporary capacity to provide short-term engagements as and when they arise
