The role:
Protocol Education are seeking committed, reliable and passionate teaching assistants in South West London to work in our special needs schools based in the boroughs of Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton, Kingston & Richmond.
Our roles require you to work 1:1 or lead small groups within our primary or secondary SEND schools. If successful, you will be working with a range of disabilities such as autism (ASD), profound multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) or other complex needs. Although these students have special needs, they follow the curriculum and mainly require support academically.
The school strives to meet the diverse and individual needs of its pupils who have special education needs and disabilities. Students with special needs travel from all over London to attend our schools which provide education for those with autism and complex needs. Our schools cater for students aged between 4 -19 years of age; due to the needs of the students our schools like to encourage independence and life skills within the learning.
It is fundamental that any candidate considering this position has prior experience working with students with special educational needs. You will need to demonstrate an enthusiastic and caring attitude to work as you will be required to work in small groups or 1-1 with students.

If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process.
We offer interview training free workshops that we can run once a month.
The course last week was fantastic! It was really interesting to find out from different points of view and different approaches and strategies. I have to say though that the Mindfulness was amazing. From the way the workshop was delivered to the techniques used. It has made me want to explore it further, both personally and professionally.
I just wanted to thank you for a really enjoyable and thought provoking day yesterday. The speakers were excellent and I was able to take away some ideas to help me in my present class. Please extend my gratitude to the speakers who gave loads of practical tips and helpful research and background information to help get to the roots of challenging behaviour.
