We are looking for a co-optedschool governor to add to our governing body, so if you are looking for a newchallenge, enjoy working as part of a team and are interested in giving somethingback to your community, this could be the opportunity for you.

School governors work with thesenior leadership team to understand the strengths and weaknesses of theschool, monitor school performance and ensure that the school budget is wellspent; ultimately ensuring that our school provides the best possible educationfor our children.

There are no formal qualificationsrequired to be a school governor, however you will need to be wiling todedicate time to carry out monitoring in school as well as read paperworkbefore meetings and be prepared to challenge the school through questioning.Weencourage new governors to carry out training to carry out their roles aseffectively as possible.
