South West London
February 2021
Time Plan Education are pleased to be working with a special needs school in South West London. They are recruiting several experienced teaching assistants to start in February 2021. These are full-time positions for the remainder of the academic year, via the agency.
The school caters for 100 pupils aged 11-19 years old, with EHCPs for ASD and social and communication difficulties. As well as a varied curriculum, they also offer a range of therapies and extra-curricular activities. They provide an encouraging and positive learning environment, with a wealth of resources available to staff and pupils.
The selected applicants will have previous SEN experience, especially with ASD, mental health and communication needs. As well as supporting students on a 1:1 basis, you will also be required to support whole classes when needed. Knowledge of PECS and Makaton would be advantageous. You will have a caring, calm personality with a keen interest to progress in the field of SEN.
For candidates who commit, the school can offer long term opportunities at a friendly and stable working environment.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. You will be required to apply for an Enhanced DBS if your current DBS is not on the update service.
