Accept Recruitment are now recruiting for 7.5 Tonne HGV Drivers on an on-going 12 weeks temp to perm basis for a well-known furniture company based in Stoke-on-Trent.
As a successful candidate for the 7.5 Tonne Driving role, you will be required to deliver furniture to customers' homes alongside a second driver or a drivers mate.
You will need to be able to give excellent customer service and be prepared to assemble certain items (training & tools provided).
Daily duties:
*
Loading/unloading of the vehicle with the help of a second driver or a drivers mate
*
Assembling certain pieces of furniture
*
Meeting deadlines for scheduled deliveries
*
Handballing
*
Ensuring that the best service is provided at all times
*
Being able to use PDA system
*
Dealing with customers face to face and on the phone to confirm deliveries
*
Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations
Required skills:
*
7.5 Tonne (C1) Licence
*
A minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar position
*
No more than 9 points on a licence (no DR, DD, DG, IN10)
*
Valid UK License with C1 Entitlement.
*
Driver CPC qualification
*
Digital Tachograph card
*
7.5 Tonne Driver must have correct PPE i.e safety boots and high-vis
Pay Rate:
PAYE -£10.00 p/h
Available Shifts
*
Monday to Friday (Saturday optional)
*
Start times between (Apply online only), average shift length 12 hours
