KS1 PPA Cover Teacher
Smile Education are working on behalf of a Birmingham Primary School to assist them in their recruitment drive for January 2021. This three-form entry Primary situated in North Birmingham currently holds opportunities for Experienced Class Teachers and NQTs to progress in their careers. Candidates post NQT and Teach First graduates are encouraged to apply.
We are currently searching for a Part-Time Key Stage 1 PPA Cover Teacher, from January 2021. Year group allocation would depend on the applicant's placement history and specialism, the gaps identified in the structure are across KS1, therefore some flexibility is required as you will be woring across year groups. This role is currently 3 days per week, however, may be decreased to 2 days per week dependant on the needs of the school.
Our client has allocated additional funding for the hiring of class teachers to support in narrowing the post-lockdown gap in learning amongst pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds.
This school is situated within proximity to Alum Rock, Saltley, Ward End, Bordesley Green and Birmingham City Centre. Our client records above average attainment across EYFS and KS2. Progress scores remain above the city and national averages.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:
- Hold a relevant UK Teaching Qualification
- Knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum
- Able and willing to travel to the Birmingham area.
