Trainee Management Accountant in Yorkshire

A manufacturing business based in Bridlington is currently recruiting a Trainee Management Accountant to join their growing team. The successful Trainee Management Accountant will support the Management Accountant in providing high quality and proactive management information.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who is currently studying for a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACCA).

Reporting into the Financial Controller, key responsibilities for the Trainee Management Accountant will include:

To ensure weekly, monthly and quarterly accounting information is prepared in line with group accounting policies
To ensure the financial controls and subsequent reconciliations are correctly carried out and monitored
To provide quality financial management information that is timely, accurate and relevant
To present the management information as necessary to management teams, highlighting relevant information and ensuring the up to date status of performance is understood
To ensure routine activities are carried out in compliance with company and statutory requirements
To contribute to the preparation of budget, forecasts and ad-hoc reporting/analysis as required
To prepare capital expenditure computations and requests as necessary
To contribute to the management of debtor exposure in line with credit control policiesWe are especially keen to speak with individuals who are studying a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA) and have previous experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment, experience in a food manufacturing setting would be advantageous.

As well as having a positive approach to their work, the successful Assistant Management Accountant will be resilient and a strong team player.

Based in Bridlington, this role is commutable from Scarborough, Driffield, Filey and surrounding areas. Free parking is also available.
