    This role sits within our central ‘Hub’ team which offers a wide range of support to the business and are dedicated in offering a first class customer service as well as answering inbound queries from people wanting to obtain information about our services and care homes. 

    This role primarily sits within the inbound calls team receiving around 25 inbound calls per day. Responsible for giving accurate information about our services and care homes to potential residents/their families and arranging for their next steps in moving forwards to becoming residents with Care UK. Our conversation rates from these initial calls to booking visits to our homes is around 65% so this is an integral role in being the first point of contact for potential residents and their families. 

    Customer service skills are essential in order to talk our callers through the first steps in finding care for themselves or for a loved one. The ability to use initiative to resolve issues when possible or escalate to relevant teams within the company and experience in working to target/KPI is really beneficial though not essential. What is important is you have the desire and ability to be empathetic, understanding and a desire to continually improve.

Our care homes provide a range of care services, from short-term respite care to nursing and specialist dementia care. We are committed to providing excellent care and have the highest quality ratings of the five biggest care home providers.

    We are growing, with an ambitious new build programme, having opened over 40 homes since 2013. We continue to grow and are building between 6 and 10 homes a year, as well as continuing to invest in our older homes.

    Criteria

    • Excellent customer service skills is essential
    • Fully competent in all Microsoft packages
    • Experience in a call centre or customer service centre is ideal but not essential
    • The ability to be empathetic
    • Good attention to detail
    • Experience of working in a team environment
    • Experience working towards KPIS and target driven is highly desirable
    • A positive, can do approach to work
