This is an exciting time for us within Medicine as we move toward opening a brand new High Acuity Care Unit (HACA) designed to care for patients who are Covid Positive and require advanced respiratory support such as Non Invasive Ventilation (NIV), Continuous Positive Pressure Ventilation (CPAP) and Tracheostomy care. The new HACA unit is attached to a general ward where our patients can be stepped down to once they are over the acute stage of their illness.We look forward to welcoming you into a dynamic team that aims to provide excellent standards of care within a caring environment.

We have flexible Bank shifts and long-term placements available

Band 5 Pay Rates*:enhanced until 31 January 2021

Days: £20.00, Nights £26.00, Saturdays £26.00, Sundays £32.00

Days and Night shifts available.

Skills/Responsibilities

To apply for this post, you will:

• Have a minimum of 6 months paid experience at Band 5 or 6 level within a hospital in the last 2 years.
• Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices
• Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual
• Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients
• Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies
• Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines
