JUNIOR TEST ENGINEER / QA ANALYST
LOCATION: REMOTE
SALARY: UP TO £25K


A well established financial service provider is looking for a Junior Test Engineer / QA Analyst to join them at their offices just outside of York. They are looking for someone with the flexibility progress into more senior roles such as Test Manager and Automated Test Analyst amongst others.

You don't need to be an expert - 1 years' commercial experience is fine - but you will need to have a real passion for testing and the drive to learn and progress your career. It's an exciting time to join the company, which has many IT transformation and development projects in the pipeline.

This is a great opportunity to learn both manual and automation testing. This is a remote role.


JUNIOR TEST ENGINEER / QA ANALYST DUTIES

The Junior Test Engineer / QA Analyst role will include the following duties and responsibilities:

*Testing of new features and/or services required by the business.
*Test new and existing webpages/applications.
*Development of tests cases to ensure all acceptance criteria are met.
*Working closely with developers in a modern agile development environment.
*Participating in daily stand-up meetings, retrospectives, and other agile procedures
*Writing bug reports and updating issues in JIRA
*Perform manual testing on websites.
*Creating and maintaining the automated test suite.
*API testing with Insomnia


JUNIOR TEST ENGINEER / QA ANALYST SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 1 years' experience in testing/ Quality Assurance and the following:

*Enthusiasm for IT and a passion for testing
*Good written and communication skills
*Good interpersonal skills - will be communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
*Ability to work to deadlines
*A Can-do, proactive attitude

Desirable but not essential:

*Experience of manually testing websites and mobile devices
*Experience with JIRA or other issue tracking tools
*Experience working in an Agile development environment
