  • Perfect experience prior to a PGCE / ITT
  • Opportunity to support across various Key Stages
  • £325 – £425 per week
  • Start : End of September 2018
  • Fixed Term Contract until July 2019
  • Monday – Friday (school working hours)

  • This fantastic school are seeking a bright graduate of maths who can provide extra learning support, build confidence and ambition in their students and be an overall role model.

    The school are specifically looking for a dedicated individual who has achieved a 2:1 or higher in their Maths (or related) degree and have a passion for supporting others. If you have had any experience tutoring or mentoring students then this will be advantageous to your application, however, this is not an absolute prerequisite. Essentially, you will need to display confidence, creativity, patience, and be able to display excellent levels of communication as you will be engaging with teachers, parents and students of varying ability.

    A brilliant Maths Academic Coach will be able to adapt their teaching angles and communication methods to support the development of students who require extra assistance with understanding subject matter, and equally be able to challenge those that already have a firm grasp of curricular modules. Your role of support will see you working with both large groups and small groups of students, and potentially on a one to one basis closer to exam period. Ultimately, this fantastic school are looking for an individual who is passionate about Maths, can be creative in their methods of support and embody their visions and values.
