Credit Strategy Analyst Internship
Job summary
Key Responsibilities:
The VIE will be working directly with the Credit Strategist and will have a varied workload. The main responsibilities will lie with helping with research publications. On the credit strategy side these include daily, weekly, thematic and year-end publications. Some of the assistance will be in the form of written research but this will be gradual as it takes times to build up market knowledge. The VIE will initially be expected to take control of data management as we use dozens of spreadsheets which will need to be updated through a variety of data sources: these include Bloomberg, CreditLab (our internal spread database), Dealogic, IGM, DTCC, rating agencies and the internet. The focus will be on keeping the data current so it can be used in presentations and publications with ease, with a long-term goal of automating as much of the data processes as possible. The data is also used internally by sales, trading, DCM and syndicate so it is important to update it frequently. Another target will be to build and maintain a CDS database from DTCC data. In addition there will be some adhoc projects where we will look to build some statistical/quantitative models where needed.
