CAREGiver Part-Time - Abundance of Common Sense ?
Home Instead Senior Care is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With minimum visits of one hour, award winning training and an excellent reputation we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We match our CAREGivers to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enables us to provide personalised support.
To be a successful CAREGiver you must have your own transport to allow you to work within the community and visit our clients within their own homes. To take the client to appointments, to shopping trips or social events is an important part of the job.
You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a CAREGiver but you will have a passion for supporting others and take pride in delivering an outstanding service. A warm heart coupled with an abundance of common sense are the qualities we are seeking.
Our CAREGivers usually work between 10-20 hours per week and cover some mornings and evening shifts, generally between 8.00 - 2.00pm and 4.00 - 10.00pm, with Saturday and Sunday shifts on alternate weekend. We can be flexible so talk to us about what you can do and we will accommodate you if we can.
If you have been wondering for a while if you have the right personal qualities to become a successful CAREGiver but have a few questions that you would like answered call us today on 01707-240650 and ask to speak to a member of the Recruitment Team, we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
We currently have a number of Part Time Opportunities for candidates to join our highly successful team of CAREGivers to the elderly residents in our community.
We care for people in Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Potters Bar and Borehamwood and surrounding villages, visiting people in their own homes and offering support and assistance where needed.
We generally help look after three specific areas of care and these are:
Personal Care - Assisting our clients to get up in the mornings and also to prepare for bed in the evenings. Support with washing and dressing, hair washing or shaving and also with more intimate care for example helping to change continence pads or catheter care. We do this whilst maintaining the clients dignity at all times.
Home Help Care - Support with meal preparation, light housework duties, putting the washing on and a little ironing when needed. We also take our clients to doctor's appointments, shopping and collect medication.
Companionship Care - Taking the client to a social event or for a look around a garden centre, clothes shopping or to purchase gifts, playing a game of cards or sorting out photographs when the weather is not too good. Our CAREGivers provide companionship and conversation which is always welcomed by our client's.
If you feel you could provide this type of assistance to an older person then please contact me, Patricia Eagling on 01707-240650 and lets have a chat.
