Graduate Academic Coach

  • Full-time, paid role (£75 – £85 a day)
  • 2:1 degree or above
  • Strong academic background essential
  • Second-to-none experience for School Direct or PGCE application
  • Varied role across the whole school
  • Shortlisting and interviewing on an ongoing basis
  • Bromley – easily accessible from surrounding areas
  • You will be working throughout the school, depending on the needs of each year group and your subject specialism. You could be working with higher ability students give them the challenge and push they need, or perhaps working with those that need that extra little bit of positivity and encouragement to feel more confident to give things ago and develop personally. These sessions may be organised by yourself or the class teacher, and could be on a 1:1 or group basis.

    Once you become more confident, you will be given the opportunity to start to create your own resources for interventions or even begin to cover lessons to develop your own teaching skills.

    You will need to have high expectations of your own ability and others, in order to be a positive role model to all students throughout the school. You will need to be trustworthy and positive to ensure all students that you work with feel that they are in an environment where they can achieve the best they can. In addition, you will need to be able to develop relationships with staff members, to continue the inclusive and friendly atmosphere they have at school. You will need to have a minimum of a 2:1 in your subject and demonstrate your passion for education.
