Who is our client?

The company have been working in their field for over 40 years but in the last 10 years staff numbers have grown significantly, with further expansion planned in the next few years.

My client is an SME in High Wycombe and specialises in the process of chemical vapour deposition. CVD is a niche-market coating technology that is widely used across many different market sectors such as aircraft, space, energy and semiconductors.

What is the job and who are we looking for?

This position is most likely to interest a recent graduate/final year student with a first degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, and Chemical Engineering or similar, who is interested in development and experimental work. A Candidates with higher degrees will also be considered.

Their expanding team needs a scientist to work on CVD coatings in a variety of research development and small scale production projects. These projects are at the forefront of European research in areas such as aerospace, nuclear, satellite propulsion and advanced manufacturing. This is primarily an RD position but involvement in most of the company's activity is likely.

What is the package?
>£25,000 to £30,000 per annum (experience dependant)
>Some travel to sites in Europe (when safe to do so)
>37.5 hour working week (Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm)
>Share Option Scheme (after probation)
>Holiday, plus bank holidays 3 days for Christmas
