The Opportunity

We are looking for an Associate Legal Specialist/Trainee Solicitor to join the Northern EMEA legal team. This entry level position is a phenomenal opportunity for an aspiring trainee solicitor to gain valuable work experience whilst completing the Legal Practice Course (LPC). You will work on a broad range of matters requiring legal support. This position will be exposed to many diverse legal topics and will have the opportunity to gain experience with a wide variety of agreements and projects. What you will do

  • Work with the Northern region legal team and the broader EMEA Legal team supporting a wide variety of legal work including software licensing agreements, procurement matters, professional services, intellectual property, legal research assignments.

  • Work in collaboration with legal counsel colleagues to review and draft confidentiality agreements, statements of work, procurement services agreements, collaboration on RFP/RFI documentation, and other various related actions for the support on commercial transactions.

  • Collaborating and working closely with other legal team members based in Maidenhead, Dublin, Paris, Munich, Stockholm, Bucharest and Sao Paolo, Brazil.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with sales, finance, procurement, marketing, engineering, and business unit teams as necessary to support revenue, process transactions, to address corporate policies/processes and legal issues as they arise.

  • Work on special project assignments, e.g. localization/translation projects and due diligence, based on the training that will be provided by Adobe.

  • Complete in-house training to qualify as solicitor in the UK.

  • What you need to succeed

  • A bachelor of law degree course or a degree in legal and business studies with good academic track record and work ethic.

  • Affinity to and keen interest in commercial contracts and technology related issues

  • A broad knowledge of legal processes and terminology, and the ability to conduct basic legal research.

  • Proficient use of MS office applications; comfortable using technology in general, and easily able to learn and optimally use multiple software systems and applications.

  • Possess the ability to compose correspondence and draft legal documents in an organized manner and using clear and concise language.

  • Proven attention to detail; a positive, problem solving, business focused attitude; exercise of good judgment and the ability to prioritize substantial workload in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good communication skills whether with co-workers, vendors or customers alike, including excellent oral and written communication skills and a dedication to customer service.

  • Proficient English. Ability to speak another European language being a distinct advantage.

  • High degree of flexibility and ability to adapt quickly.

  • Good sense of humour.
