Finance placement student

We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Placement Student to join our finance team in the Darlington Engine Plant, United Kingdom.During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry andpower your potential!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Working as part of the accounts receivable team Managing customer invoicing, pricing and receivables accounting

  • Liaising with other Cummins entities and other functions across the plant to effectively resolve queries

  • Assist with the Plant expense budget reporting process, helping to build and present data

  • Lead and complete month end journals, reconciliations and processes

  • Opportunity to manage projects within the finance function and implement improvement initiatives

  • Collaborative work with students across the site to complete cross functional community engagement projects

  • Working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subject

  • Excellent IT Skills, in particular Excel and Microsoft

  • A willingness to challenge the norm and constantly look for improvements

  • Competent and driven in collaboration tools, Microsoft Office, Zoom, SharePoint, Microsoft teams and the virtual world in general.
