Main Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Project Delivery Team Manager of a newly created specialist function, this role will be responsible for the delivery of discrete delivery events including; Our largest/most complex Client Change Management, Improvement and technical upgrade (or technical debt clearance) and Share Plan Participant Engagement Campaigns. Typically, the role holder will specialise in one of the delivery types but aim to cross train across at least two.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects in line with CCS process methodology
  • Confirm and document a clear work scope, building on the statement of work received from the Sponsor.
  • Brief and work with the delivery teams and external suppliers to ensure they fully understand scope, prioritise effort and provide planning input.
  • Establish a work breakdown structure (backlog) and plan to deliver required outcomes and clarify timings required for customer inputs.
  • Supporting Business Analysts, when engaged, to capture customer requirements within a functional specification document.
  • Tracking progress against estimated costs and reporting variances.
  • Establishing a risk log and proactively managing actions to mitigate risks, escalating as necessary.
  • Establishing an issue log and proactively managing actions to reduce the impacts, escalating as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders such as CTS to ensure that their involvement and dependencies are effectively managed.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure that resources are planned/forecasted.
  • Compliance with CCS Project governance processes with evidence to show effective; Launch meetings, use of standard templates and information sharing/filing, project closure meetings and review, status reporting, Risk and Issue Log usage, Demand management system usage.
  • Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong stakeholder or transferable client management skills
  • Ability to follow set processes and project methodology
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • A logical mind with an ability and interest in systems and system logic.
  • Numerate and articulate with GCSE B or above in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and concisely both verbally and in written format.
  • Good commercial awareness with a clear understanding of time, cost & quality as well as revenue and profitability.
  • Ability to work with people of different levels of seniority and with different skill sets.
  • Experience of managing small to large scale projects advantageous
  • Project management qualification desirable
