Responsibilities

The role is an interesting one at Endava. You will be the central link between your Client or set of Clients and the Delivery teams (Project Managers, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, Developers, Testers, etc). At any given time you could be managing a small team delivering to one client or multiple teams across several clients, combining that with supporting ongoing pre-sales activity as we grow our business. Over a period of time, this could be quite fluid as existing clients change their needs and new clients join. The key is that you will be able to adapt to any given situation, understanding what is important to your client and also your team.

The path to success is never completely smooth and there will be bumps in the road. It will be your responsibility to manage any issues to resolution with the aim that the client is happier at the end of the process than they would have been if there had been no bumps. You need to be able to motivate your team and often provide focus when there are many moving parts. You will need to be able to communicate at various levels within your client’s organization from the project managers on the projects to C-level stakeholders responsible for the programmes and value streams we are engaged in. You will need to be able to present and articulate how Endava works and what its experience it brings to our clients.

The systems we build are often very complex and although detailed technical knowledge is not part of the role, supporting the people in Endava who have this knowledge, specifically around being able to articulate aspects of this to non-technical clients is frequently needed.

  • You will be expected to help identify new business within your client & help support sales opportunities for potential new clients.
  • You will need to understand how to manage client contracts & the financial profitability of your client account and be accountable for it to Endava’s senior managers.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that your accounts are forecasted and reported accurately on an ongoing basis.
  • Most of Endava’s people won’t be in the same country as you or your client (who may also be in a different country), so being able to work remotely and travel to these teams’ locations periodically is needed.
  • Qualifications and Experience

    We are looking for a Delivery Manager that can fulfill the role as described above. Having vast amounts of experience is not essential but having the motivation and capability to take full responsibility for your work and to help others deliver to the best of their ability is what we need.

    We understand that as you will be new to Endava many aspects of this won’t be known to you at the beginning, so someone who is able to immerse themselves in Endava from the outset is key to being successful in this role. No two days are the same, so effectively prioritizing your own workload is critical. Lastly, we are looking for someone who will work well with the other Delivery Managers as part of a great team of like-minded people, who often use each other for support and guidance.
