Description du Poste As our reputation for proficient delivery of complex projects grows even stronger, we have a need for a Junior Project Manager to join the team in Blackburn.
Reporting to the Assystem SMR Senior Project Manager working within the SMR Project Team supporting the delivery of the Assystem scope.
The role will be working with the Technical Package Leads in ensuring the packages are delivered to time, cost, and quality and reporting issues to the Assystem Senior Project manager. This could be a long-term role supporting the SMR project delivering the Assystem scope and will offer the potential for role development.
Responsibilities:
Managing the quality, schedule, and cost packages within the project to the agreed baseline. Agreeing hours estimates with stakeholders for activities undertaken by the Project team Development estimating sheets including estimating uncertainty Ensuring the relevant project risks are identified and managed/mitigated as appropriate. This includes regular monitoring of the residual risks. Develop schedule updates and engage with Planners to develop P6 schedules for monitoring and reporting Management of change controls Updating progress with Project team Updating progress and costs with the Project Controls team and reporting on variances Engagement with Technical Leads and Engineering Managers to develop resource plans for forward workload Maintenance of forward workload schedule in conjunction with the Technical Leads. Input forecast hours into EAC trackers Monitoring of spend profiles for each sub-task against the schedule. Development of the EAC profiling along with updating and tracking the Forecast To Completion for all tasks undertaken by the team Attendance at various progress meetings, producing the output and subsequent monitoring of actions Development of monthly reports for final review by the PM ahead of the issue Provision of weekly updates to the Planner, to enable effective progress monitoring and schedule accuracy Upward reporting of issues to the Project Manager. Deputising for the Project Manager, during periods of annual leave or clashing commitments. Accountabilities:
Ensure the accuracy of data communicated and reported to all stakeholders. The highlighting of any current and potential issues to Senior Project Manager. Maintain compliance with approved processes, procedures, and project execution plans. Travel:
Occasionally works away from the home office, either visiting or on a short-term assignment to other Assystem or customer sites.
Nature of Problems and Solving them:
Routinely must work to tight deadlines. Addresses problems within the project plan to produce an effective and accurate plan. Level of Discretion:
Plans own work. Refers / escalates any issues that threaten project delivery. Communication and contacts:
Good communication is a key aspect of the position, has to communicate effectively in verbal and written form Profil Required Experience:
Conversant with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Outlook, Teams Competence in earned value management and reporting Analysis of project risk and estimating uncertainty Capable of managing own work Commercial awareness (e.g. planning requirements, change control / compensation events / cost control) Relevant experience working in a project management role Good communication skills Ability to work in a team environment, both within Assystem and an integrated multi-company team Experience in a contracting environment Working knowledge of NEC3 PSC Desirable Experience:
Conversant with planning software and tools (Primavera P6) Nuclear engineering design/construction experience. Experience in a gated process for projects Desirable Qualification:
