Job description

Due to significant growth an excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated commercially aware candidate to further develop their career within a leading independent architectural acoustics company. You will take up the role of Junior Acoustic consultant and join the clients London based team. Within the role you will enjoy a vastly prestigious client list both in public and private sectors and carryout a range of acoustic related duties over a number of high profile developments and programs.

Salary: £18-25K

Qualifications:

MSc/BSc in Acoustics/Noise and Vibration

Experience

Minimum of 1 years consultancy experience in the field of Environmental or Building Acoustics

Technically competent and IT proficient

Commercially aware and team player

Good communication and client liaison skills

Personal experience of Noise Modeling using a recognized software package.

Extensive and detailed understanding of British Standards

Familiarity in using noise monitoring equipment.

Strong project management skills.

The ability to produce technically accurate reports

Specialist understanding of the required standards and regulations

Full driving license

Duties

Measurement surveys and reporting

Assessment in accordance with Planning Policy Guidance and BS4142

Advice on legislation

Prediction and measurement of transportation noise

Planning conditions – compliance and negotiation

Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)

Public Inquiries- expert witness presentations

Liaise with consultants, engineers and architects
Writing high quality reports

Façade design to control external noise intrusion

Sound insulation and measurement

Industrial and commercial noise control

Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on appropriate use of planning conditions

Sound insulation testing and advice on remedial treatment

Assessment of internal acoustic performance of buildings

Undertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK
