Located in a lovely part of the Brent area of North London and well-connected to local public transport links, this school is easily accessible by a number of bus and train routes. The ideal candidate should be confident and considerate, potentially with experience working with young people and SEN learners. Previous experience is not essential, but a drive and passion to support SEN learners definitely is!
You will be given training and support to have the right tools to support the pupils who have additional needs and sometimes struggles to focus within lessons. The majority of the time you will be supporting the child within mainstream classes, however on occasion you will be required to support the child on a 1:1 basis outside of the classroom within intervention sessions. For this area you will be given support and training by the school’s lovely SENCO.
If you are an aspiring educational psychologist or teacher then this role will provide you with excellent and varied experience at a competitive rate of pay. You will be in the same school for the academic year, allowing you to build good rapport with staff and students as well as allowing the pupils to see a consistent role model throughout the year.
