The role

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant – Maths
  • Maths degree (or related subject e.g. Engineering)
  • Provide essential tuition across KS3-5
  • Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery
  • ‘Outstanding’ secondary school
  • Opportunity to progress to School Direct
  • Earn £300-400 per week (term time)

  • Why not put your skills and passion to excellent use this academic year and take on the role of Graduate Teaching Assistant? Your main responsibilities will be to work in small groups and on a 1:1 basis providing maths learning interventions to ensure all pupils are achieving their potential. You will be encouraged to participate in wider school life and have the opportunity to assist with lesson planning and delivery as your confidence grows throughout the year. 

    A calm and motivational manner will be essential to you succeeding in this role. Ideally you will have some experience working or volunteering with young people and you must be able to demonstrate a clear passion for pursuing a career in education. 

    The school itself is graded ‘Outstanding’ and this is reflected in the way staff, students and parents all work together in harmony. There is a real buzz when you walk around this school; pupils clearly enjoy learning and have great relationships with their teachers. Training and development opportunities are plentiful and a driven individual could progress very quickly in this school.
