To be considered for this SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant role you must have the following:
This SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant role will see you working closely with a small number of children who have special educational needs. You will be closely supported by the class teacher and school SENCo who will offer guidance and strategies on how best to fulfil this SEN Graduate TA role. On a day-to-day basis you will work with children with SEN in order to help them to develop their social, emotional and academic abilities. You will liaise with children, teachers and parents, therefore excellent communication is vital.
It is essential that you have a patient, calm manner, as well as being resilient and determined. No two days will be the same! You will need to be able to motivate the small group of students who you support and have their best interests at heart. Ideally you will have prior experience working with children and know how to build rapport with children.
This role would be suitable for someone who has recently graduated with a 2.1 or 1st class degree and is looking to embark upon a learning journey within education. If you are looking to gain the skills and knowledge within education before you go into teaching or educational psychology then this SEN graduate TA would be perfect for you!
