We are looking for tutors to work proactively with schools and carers to ensure the needs of their SEN pupils are met. Due to the recent COVID lockdowns many pupils were out of and will be out education for a prolonged period of time and schools are taking advantage of government initiatives to support these pupils as they try to recoup lost learning.
Your role as a tutor would work with the class teacher to ensure a tailored program of tuition is delivered to pupils on an either 1:1 or small group basis. There is additional opportunities for online and in home tuition for pupils not being able to access mainstream education. The tuition is either conducted in school or possibly at home or online.
The ideal tutor would have:
• A Teaching Qualification/ tutoring Experience
• Experience of working with SEN pupils or pupils with challenging behaviour
• Flexibility and Adaptability
• A calm and patient personality
These schools are located in the Brighton and surrounding areas across East and West Sussex which have an excellent public transport system and road travel. In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references. You will also be provided with free CPD and safeguarding to ensure you are fully prepared for your role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
