Training 2000 is at the heart of the Lancashire economy, developing talent and training the next generation. We are growing and an exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Light Vehicle Automotive Tutor.
The role that we are recruiting for is part of our Automotive team and therefore, you will be joining a team of professionals who have a wide range of skills in the sector. The team work on both funded and commercial delivery and are keen to pass on skills for the future
Due to business growth and expansion into new curriculum areas, we’re looking for a Light Vehicle Tutor that will be able to deliver on our funded programmes and assess learners in the workplace. We are looking to expand the portfolio of qualifications that we are offering within the Light Vehicle portfolio and therefore, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of sessions both in the workshop and classroom in line with the Apprenticeship standards.
We are looking for someone who holds an appropriate Automotive Light Vehicle qualification and has experience of working in industry within their career. Ideally we are looking for a multi-disciplined automotive technician who has experience in mechanical and body repair.
You will need to be passionate about your industry and be keen to pass on knowledge and skills. Although beneficial you don’t need to have taught or assessed before as we will provide you with all the necessary skills and qualifications to make you a success in this role.

Terms and Conditions:
For this role, you will receive a salary of £28,267 and a competitive benefits package. In addition, we believe in providing more than just salary and benefits and we’ll give you time and support to develop your career.
To give you an idea of our benefits, we firmly believe in having a good work life balance and therefore, they include 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This entitlement will increase over time to 32 days and you are also able to purchase up to 5 days extra per year. In addition to this, from the day you join, you will receive life assurance whilst employed at 4 x your annual salary. Finally, with pensions being an important part of peoples career, following 6 months service you will be entitled to enrol into our Group Private Pension scheme where we will match contributions up to 5%.
