This historic school based in Barnet are looking for graduates who have a keen interest in the world of education and would like to start their career. They are a pillar in their area and are firmly supported by the families of their students and the local community. They do have strong links to teacher training programmes too for those who would like to pursue that route forward but welcome graduates who have their eyes set on careers elsewhere within education. Their training and guidance is provided by talented practitioners who have excellent experience in their profession and working with new additions to the school.

Graduate Academic Coach – The Role

The bulk of your responsibilities will involve working with students on a 1:1 or group basis. These students could be those who need help grasping certain concepts to gain a basic understanding or those who need guidance towards achieving a greater depth of understanding. You will be working alongside the class teacher in creating fantastic classroom resources for your own intervention groups. You will also gain fantastic experience on how to differentiate your sessions and how to plan effectively and efficiently to ensure you will see progress in your students. The role is a long-term position that will continue until the end of the academic year in 2020 whilst being paid between £350-£450 per week!

Graduate Academic Coach – About you:

  • You will have a minimum 2:1 or above in your degree (Russell Group University is ideal)
  • Good A-Levels and GCSEs to support this
  • Motivated and determined to have a positive impact upon the progress of young people
  • Passionate about your subject
  • Hard-working and willing to be flexible to meet the demands of your students and the school
