  • Where you’ll be working
    You’ll join our lifeguarding team at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre. Facilities here include a main pool, learner pool, fitness suite, spin studio, exercise studio and hydrotherapy pool. The centre is open to the public 7 days a week from 6.30am to 10pm.

    What you’ll be doing
    Providing a professional and friendly approach to pool safety will be your main objective. Making sure that all customers are kept in a safe and secure environment, delivering great customer service and ensuring the facilities are clean, safe and staffed, so that every customer has a great experience.

    What we’ll need from you
    You must be RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualified for this role (applicants without a valid qualification cannot be considered for this role). A first aid qualification and some experience would also be very desirable. Good communication and organisational skills are essential for this role. 

    You’ll also need a good knowledge of Health & Safety and an understanding of Diversity and Equality in employment and provision of a service. 

    You’ll need to be able to work a rolling shift rota, which will include a mix of early mornings, daytime and evening shifts (weekdays and some weekends).

    Please be aware that following Government COVID-19 guidance, Teddington Pools & Fitness Centres is currently closed. The successful job applicant will only be offered a start date once their employment checks have been completed and the centre has reopened.

    What we can offer you
    £17,517 to £20,578pa (actual range for 31.25 hrs p/w)

    Starting salary will be £17,517pa, subject to qualifications and experience.
