Do you have previous experience tutoring students within an online or face to face capacity?

An alternative provision School in Bracknell are seeking a Tutor to work with students online, either on a part time or full time basis depending on tutor availability.

Applications are welcomed from:

  • Qualified Teachers (with particular specialisms in English, Maths or Science preferably)
  • English, Maths or Science Graduates with tutoring experience.
  • English, Maths or Science Tutors looking for further school based experience.

It is expected that the required tutor will:

  • Have excellent subject knowledge, as well as knowledge of school curriculum.
  • Hold a portfolio of relevant resources and material that can be used to support learners.
  • Set realistic learning objectives and be able to effectively manage student workloads.
  • Be able to work with students with SEN, as well as students who are disengaged/school refusers.
  • Be able to display the necessary attributes to build positive working relationships with disadvantaged students.
  • Consider the progression rates of learners, working with school staff to discuss these in detail.

The school is ideally looking for a candidate who can work both face to face and in an online capacity as different students have differing requirements. Therefore, please note that applications are only able to be accepted from individuals living within reachable distance of the Bracknell area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
