Junior  Environment  Advisors

Location - Dartford Office / London Site Based - Addition travelling may be required 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior  Environmental Advisor to join Expanded (part of Laing O'Rourke)

Part of the Laing O'Rourke Group, the Expanded Group provides a total capability in the early construction phases of major projects, providing an end-to-end solution or a bespoke choice of services. Backed by a central technical design and engineering resource, we can deliver the full range of demolition, site remediation, piling, precast concrete, post-tensioning and structures techniques.

Technical Skills

  • Collating, analysing and reporting Environmental Data within the Expanded business, reporting to project management and the business unit monthly
  • Reporting into client/project specific reporting tools and identifying any areas of focus
  • Ensuring that relevant Environmental Policies are displayed and communicated to all project staff, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Ensuring project Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM) logs are kept up to date
  • Undertaking routine environmental inspections, to ensure compliance with best practice, environmental legislation, relevant consents and project-specific requirements
  • Promoting environmental initiatives (carbon footprint measurement and reduction, waste management, green procurement)
  • Reporting environmental incidents and non-conformances and subsequent corrective actions.
  • The Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience in collecting and processing information in accordance with established frameworks
  • Able to utilise information from standard reports to identify trends in performance
  • Is proficient in data input to database systems
  • Produces accurate standard reports in a timely manner.
  • Has a good understanding of environmental management systems
  • Passion for the environment and sustainability
