    This role will see you supporting the English department as a teaching assistant to begin with. You will support teachers in class, hold 1:1 and small group learning interventions and get involved with wider school life, e.g. extra-curricular activities. As you grow in confidence, you will take on more teaching responsibilities with the full support of department staff. This will ultimately prepare you to take on the challenges of teacher training and as this school is a teaching school, there will be a place in the September cohort for you provided all goes well this year.

    To be successful in this role you must have a degree in English (2:1 or above) and experience working or volunteering with young people is desirable although this is not essential as full training & development will be given.
