We have found that Drama Graduates work effectively as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant and are able to create a stimulating learning environment. My Client School in Hull is looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a passion for working with pupils and want to make a difference.

You will need to have experience working with young people in some capacity and ideally have knowledge of supporting those with speech, language and communication needs, learning difficulties and autism. The School is a specialist provision that provides education for children aged between 2 and 16 years. The role will require you to build positive relationships with all students and staff alike. Your role can vary day to day, including:

  • 1:1 or small group intervention work within a specialist School
  • You will support the delivery of teaching and learning in key, core and functional skills
  • You will help to develop students to become responsible citizens
  • You will receive specialist training and support
  • Leading classes as a Cover Supervisor or Higher Level Teaching Assistant
