Administrative Assistant (Part Time, Fixed Term)
The Faculty of Law requires a part-time (0.5 FTE) Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative and secretarial support for the Faculty's learning and teaching team. In particular, the role holder will support the Faculty's examinations work, provide Moodle support to enhance the Faculty's online provision for students as well as providing HR administrative support. The role holder will also collect and maintain all relevant data for staff and students relating to the Faculty's equality, diversity and inclusivity work.
Applicants should have a good general education with at least GCSE-level English and mathematics or equivalent / NVQ Level 2 or equivalent level of practical experience. IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access are also required. The role holder should have excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform administrative duties in an organised manner. Evidence of self-motivation and the ability to plan ahead are essential. Applicants should have an ability to work accurately under pressure and to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
