Package: £26,000 - £35,000 + bonus, health care, medical, packages

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a growing Civil Engineering Main contractor. Who are a market leader, you will be learning alongside some of the best in the industry with a hands on approach.

It will suit an individual who is looking for a new challenge, that is able to start a new role in Febuary 2021.

Current projects that are secured include Hs2, new data centres, cross rail, highway and transport, renewable energy and utilities.

Requirements

Must be University or college educated in a Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction subject.
Must have at 1 a year relevant experience (As an Graduate Quantity Surveyor) this can be a placement year.
Should be a self-starter with lots of drive, we are looking for future leaders.
Can hold your own in any site/ office/ client environment.
Should be good with people, a good communicator natural collaborator
Could have experience in rail, highways, heavy civil.
Could have international experience

Duties Responsibilities

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will report to the Commercial Manager. Typical you will learn the key duties of the department, progressing to undertake the tasks individually. Typical duties include:

Maintaining variation, contra-charge, quality and order status logs;
Management of claims and contract disputes;
Cash flow management;
Monthly Cost Reporting including preparation of and presenting reports at monthly meetings;
Management and agreement of final accounts with Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and Clients;
Closing out of sub-contracts;
Involvement in Sales Handover and project team meetings;
Acknowledging letters of intent and sub-contract orders;
Preparing pre-construction documents
Attending and participating in client pre-order meetings;
Assisting with reviewing and negotiating sub-contracts;Applications:
