Part-Time Support Worker

Lowton, (WA3)

1x 15 hours per week position available

£18,322 per annum pro rata (based on 39 hours per week)

We are looking for resilient and friendly Support Workers to join a team that works in partnership with people who use our services, to enable them to live as independently as possible and to be part of their local community.

We are looking for support workers who are confident, have excellent communication skills, adapting to the needs of the very active young males who access the service, have a great sense of humour and have a desire to learn both informally, formally and most importantly, from the people we support. As a Support Worker you will promote positive health and well-being of the people that you support, enabling them to have a meaningful life and be involved in a range of activities which include

· Dog Walking

· Attending college courses

· Going to the gym

· Swimming

· Walking

And much more!

Staff are required to work shifts on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and may also be required to complete sleep ins.

At Autism Initiatives we work alongside people with autism, providing specialist services tailored to each individual. Experience is not essential, but a genuine passion for providing person centred support as well as a positive attitude, is key to being successful in this role.

In return, we will provide you with ongoing training and development, including supporting you to obtain your Diploma Level 2 qualification in Adult Care. This is a truly rewarding role, with the opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge and fulfil your career aspirations. Given the nature of this role, successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, the cost of which will be met by Autism Initiatives.
