Job description
A large Secondary school located to the east of Oldham are seeking to appoint a graduate Teaching Assistant to work with students across KS3 and KS4 this academic year.
- Full time teaching assistant position, supporting learning & covering lessons
- Fantastic opportunity to enhance future PGCE applications
- Working with students in class and delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
- Pay in line with previous experiences, up to GBP70 per day
The school wish to appoint a graduate with previous experience working with students aged 11-16 in an educational capacity. The position will incorporate supporting pupils from year 7-11 in their classes. Duties will include reading questions, promoting positive behaviour and ensuring pupils remain engaged. Further to this, the successful graduate teaching assistant will have the opportunity to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher. This task will improve confidence and behaviour management strategies within the class.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
