We are currently looking for a Junior Buyerto join our Beauty team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. it’s a fast-paced and diverse role and when we say that no two days are ever the same we are not kidding!

There’s a lot to get excited about as you will be able to work closely with some great brands such as Elemis, Bobbi Brown, L'Occitane and many more, whilst helping us to constantly improve on our range.

Along with another Junior Buyer, Assistant Buyer and Buyer you will build the product range to meet sales, margin and stock targets within a specific product/category area.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience of the buying process. Working closely with the Buyer, you will be responsible for your own categories within the area. With these, you will be buying and developing the ranges. You will also manage category related administrative processes that are time-critical to the business.

You will collate and present product information, sales information, trend packs and/or mood boards as appropriate, including the preparation for Today’s Special Value meetings (TSV) Business Strategy meetings (BSM), Open To Buy meetings (OTB) and Merchandising Strategy Meetings.

You will Produce Range Review packs, undertake Market Reports and Competitor Shopping analysis and bring suggestions of new ideas/products to the team.

You will be required to have good product understanding to enable you to prepare Guest Presenters before a live show. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be the main point of contact for suppliers, as well as liaising with other departments within the organisation. Experience of liaising with suppliers is essential.

Candidates should ideally have Beauty Buying experience within a head office environment, ideally at Junior Buyer or Buyer level. It is essential for the successful candidate to have a good understanding and experience of managing a critical path. Trend awareness with a passion for product and an understanding of the retail buying function are both key.

Good PC skills are necessary for this role, especially Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong presentation skills are important.
