This requisition has been established to collect a robust candidate pool for part-time positions that may become available within the designated discipline at CSN. Should a candidate be selected for a part-time instructor position, no minimum course load is guaranteed and teaching assignments, if any, are contingent upon various factors, including but not limited to, minimum student enrollment and/or department need. No reimbursement for travel expenses will be provided to local or out of area/out of state candidates and there is no guarantee of continued or future part-time and/or full-time employment. Core Responsibilities: Teach fitness and nutrition to adult learners with an emphasis on the following skills: Personal wellness and types of exercise Basic Nutrition Motivation and accountability methods Classes run 4-8 weeks, 1-2 days a week, 2 hours to 3 hours each class at various CSN campus locations throughout the Las Vegas valley. Classes are typically held during evening hours; however, Saturday classes are available during morning and afternoon hours. Required Qualifications: Fitness/Health coach certification from a recognized professional organization. Experience teaching. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with a diverse/multicultural student body and/or workforce. Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
