The Role

Our Technical Graduates play a big part in the solutions that we deliver to our clients and have worked on some of our biggest projects in roles such as; Programming, Testing or Developing. We typically have graduate vacancies across our various industries, which include; Central Government, Defence and Intelligence, Energy and Utilities, Financial Services and Space, and we also occasionally take graduates into corporate functions.

However, while you may start in one area of the business, the opportunity to move internally is huge offering you the opportunity to grow your career, in the direction you want, under a permanent contract.

Due to the nature of our business, you work on 'projects'. This means you have the opportunity to work across a wide range of roles, industries and locations, there is no 'typical day'. It really does vary at CGI and that's the exciting thing, it is up to you to shape and develop your career in the direction you want to go with the support of others.

Location

We recruit graduates into various base locations across the UK. Our main hubs for business graduates are; Birmingham, Bristol, Chelmsford, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Gloucester, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Reading, South Wales, Scottish Borders and Surrey. As CGI is a consultancy, your projects could be based from other locations asides from your base location, and you should therefore be prepared for travel in your role. Each business unit operates from a different range of offices so we would encourage you to think about how flexible you can be.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

You will need to demonstrate a real interest and passion for technology. Our technical graduates will usually have studied for a computer science or STEM related degree however, we welcome people from all degree backgrounds as long as you have an interest in the industry.

Depending on which business unit you would like to join, we will consider students with a minimum 2:2. Some business units seek graduates with a minimum 2:1.
