This is an exciting opportunity working at a senior level within the Housing and Assets Service. We’re looking for someone who understands and can deliver new social housing, at scale and pace, lead on the Councils housing strategy and is able to work with our NEWHomes board, our independent housing company.


We were the first Council in Wales to build new Council houses and the first to create an independent housing company we will soon have delivered nearly 500 new homes to our communities in Flintshire, but we aren’t stopping there, we have an ambitious programme of schemes informed by our housing strategy.


The role is varied and we expect you to have a broad range of housing skills but with a strong focus on housing development. You will also have experience of managing our NEWHomes accommodation which will require knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation and its application.


We are seeking applications from individuals who are educated to degree level or who have equivalent levels of experience in this sector; you would need a sound knowledge of the housing construction and development process, have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate significant financial acumen.
