Support Worker Learning Disabilities - Part-time in Stoke Mandeville

Support Worker Learning Disabilities - Part-time

4 - 40 hours per week

Job description

Are you looking for work that is truly fulfilling? Do you want a job where your influence will continue long after your shift ends? Could you support adults with a learning disability to live the way they want?

You'll join our friendly team of Support Workers at a small, homely residential service in Stoke Mandeville, where we support 3 adults with learning disabilities. They have a wide range of learning disabilities.

You'll play a key part in making sure people can live as independently as possible, helping them be active members of their local community and joining in with their favourite pastimes and hobbies. You'll find yourself getting involved in arts and crafts one day, and going out to the cinema the next (once we're fully out of lock-down). The most important thing for the people we support here is that their staff are cheerful, positive and don't rush them. Personal care is required. The people we support have behaviours of concern , these are effectively managed by staff who are well trained in Positive Behaviour Support Strategies

This is a part-role 18 hours per week, shifts are 7am to 3pm and 3pm to 10pm worked on a rota basis to include days, evenings and weekends.
