About Beer52:

We’re the UK’s most popular craft beer club, curating a delicious selection of beers for our members from a new country each month. Our tech and design team has built our own system from scratch, offering our members a consistent brand experience across web, mobile, email, social media and print.

The role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented multidisciplinary junior designer to join our tech and design team, ultimately to be based at our Edinburgh office. This position will be well suited to an individual who is enthusiastic, keen to learn and has the motivation and desire to work in a friendly, fast-paced environment.


Working alongside our Head of Product Design, your role will be to create impactful design solutions across print and digital that elevate our content, engage our customers and help us stand out from the crowd.

You’ll be proactive and well-organised, have excellent communication skills and a positive approach to work. You’ll also need the ability to work quickly under pressure with constant attention to detail, whilst always striving to deliver the highest standard of creative work.


Responsibilities:

  • Execution of creative projects across digital and print including:
  • Website design.
  • Email design.
  • Digital banners.
  • Social media assets.
  • Print materials including adverts and DM.
  • Presentations.
  • Infographics.
  • Be involved at all stages of the creative process — from interpreting a brief, through to creating concepts, setting the visual style, and delivering creative to the required formats and technical standards.
  • Take ownership of multiple tasks, projects and priorities to ensure they are all delivered on time and to the highest possible standard.
  • Listen to feedback to hone skills and improve designs.


Requirements:

  • Ideally, you’ll have at least a year’s experience in a design studio and a well-crafted portfolio to demonstrate design process and thinking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly articulate your process and rationale.
  • You’ll be highly proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically XD, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
  • An interest in photography, video and animation would also be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of website usability & development principles and the technical challenges it poses to design.
  • Strong experience designing digital user journeys across responsive websites.
  • Good understanding of UX and UI.
  • Knowledge of HTML & CSS is advantageous though not essential.
  • Great sense of design, typography, branding, identity systems, layout, and hierarchy.
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Strongly committed to working as a member of a creative team.
  • Previous experience of seeing projects through from inception to production.
  • Comfortable working across a range of briefs, audiences and different channels.
  • The motivation to follow brand guidelines and maintain and improve design standards.
  • Proactive and up for getting stuck in.
