Job description

As the Head of Consumer and Healthcare – Key Clients you will enable and be accountable for the commercial success of the Consumer and Healthcare team within Barclays Payments.  This is your opportunity to showcase your leadership skills as you lead, manage & develop the team,  whilst ensuring the provision of good customer service. Your target will be to achieve challenging sales targets and ensure service goals & objectives are met.

• Building valuable relationships with the bank to embed the new structure and maximise sales opportunities for the Barclays Group
• Leading the Corporate RM and BDMs team to deliver customer service, market leading customer retention and a culture of business development
• Delivering across balanced scorecard including income targets, net promoter scores, customer retention, colleague development and control 
• Building long term profitable relationships with customers, ensuring income targets are exceeded
• Driving the customer agenda, shaping and developing our future products and innovations
• Collaborating with key external and internal stakeholders. Making certain that all relationships are built on expertise and trust
• Working with the Director or Consumer and Healthcare the leadership team to define and develop the new business, retention and growth strategy for key clients
• Providing regular and ongoing market insights to identify where BPS should focus and sell the customer proposition.  Provide a corporate-centric perspective to the rest of Barclays Payments

• Proven Track record of leadership 
• Experience of delivering insightful thinking
• Proven experience in delivering success and executing at pace in a sales environment
• Excellent level of experience in sales / customer contact and sales leadership

• Knowledge of merchant acquiring and payment gateway solutions and marketplaces
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry drivers and key market impacts
• Excellent communicator with ability to deal with a range of audiences including C-level executives
• Proven track record of commercial management and direct corporate customer contact

You can be home based, or work in one our office across the UK. Our key office locations are London, Northampton, Glasgow, Knutsford, Manchester, Northwich (Gadbrook) and Dublin.
