Job Description

As an SDR for the UK sales team, you will support the team of territory managers by identifying, engaging and qualifying leads. You will carry out market research, find the relevant contacts and prospect to them through targeted campaigns. You will qualify all inbound leads from our website and events. You will also support our team of Territory Managers with their outbound prospecting campaigns. You will be asked to think creatively about finding potential leads, as well as leverage traditional lead generation techniques in order to build the top of the sales funnel and transition leads to our Territory Managers.  

This role is important for increasing the effectiveness and success of the Sales team. It will give the opportunity to work across the market in the UK with the opportunity to grow and develop to a Territory Manager sales role. The role allows an individual to really take the reigns and own a crucial part of the growth of our target markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on all assigned incoming leads for qualification and nurturing
  • Create campaigns and actively prospect into territories as directed to generate new leads
  • Become well-versed in the company’s products and services as well as the latest offerings, upcoming trainings and events, and other customer-facing opportunities and effectively communicate Turnitin’s products and services to prospective customers and final decision makers
  • Manage detailed prospect and customer account lists; log/track progress of leads using both marketing and sales automation tools (Groove/Salesforce.com)
  • Conduct market research as required by the Territory Managers in order to inform our go to market strategy
  • Execute call plans and multi-touch campaigns using a variety of communication channels including social media, email and phone
  • Collect data on potential prospects to then utilise in lead generation activities
  • Campaign management to support the Territory Managers in their outbound prospecting
  • Develop personally and professionally through technical, competitive and sales skills knowledge
  • Achieve or exceed KPI’s set



Qualifications

  • Effective analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, project management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Understanding of how to test and measure the performance of various types of nurturing and prospect campaigns to achieve or exceed set targets
  • A solution mindset to look at objections and blockers and how to tackle these head on 
  • An interest in working in enterprise solution sales within the education sector  

Required Skills:
  • Graduate or 1+ years sales, or lead generation and development experience
  • Familiarity with UK Education system 
  • Highly computer technology savvy, able to quickly learn and adapt to different interfaces
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who can manage a variety of contacts systematically, qualifying them while building a greater understanding of the target audience
  • Proven experience to manoeuvre past gatekeepers and move from influencers to decision-makers
  • Experience using Excel and Salesforce CRMs is highly desirable 
  • Experience with Turnitin as the user is desirable (likely through university or college) 
  • Fluency in another European language(s) is a plus
