Contract Type: Internship/Placement (6-9 month fixed-term contract)

Hours: Part-time, minimum 25 hours per week

Compensation: Unpaid with travel expenses covered

JOB PURPOSE

GS is preparing to expand our range of operations and we need a proactive Data Analyst to join our team. You will help our team create a user-friendly and seamless experience for our stakeholders and wider community. Additionally, you will maintain and improve our data infrastructure to allow for a better functioning website, a more efficient integration of systems programming, and an established process for data reporting.

As the post holder, you are a self-starter, able to work independently and with initiative, as well as collaboratively as a part of a team. You are dependable and decisive, capable of taking the lead on our systems management. The recruitment of this post is part of an ambitious plan to develop and execute a sustainable strategy for impact reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Any previous experience or knowledge of computer programming, web development, UX/CX, data science or analytics
Essential Skills:
  • A high degree of computer literacy, and advanced IT skill on Microsoft packages and Google Apps
  • Ability to make clear judgements and decisions, to work on own initiative, and take ownership of their own work
  • Excellent planning, organisational, project and time management; able to formulate and adjust plans according to performance and targets
  • Ability to think strategically and operationally
  • Strong personal integrity and accountability, being able to set and meet personal deadlines and keep promises to colleagues
